Volkswagen Polo has received one of the most important industry awards in the world - World Car of the Year 2010. This model has been extremely prestigious title by beating 30 competitors.
Justifying the award, was highlighted Polo exceptional quality, safety, uniqueness and ecological characteristics. In 2009, the award is accounted for in the participation model Volkswagen - golf. This year's poll rivals in final World Car of the Year were three models: the Mercedes Benz E-Class, Toyota Prius and the Volkswagen Polo.
Volkswagen has been also awarded in the contest, held annually awards the title of World Car World Green Car, which became one of the most prestigious, reliable and meaningful awards of this kind.
In the competition for the title of World Green Car 2010 jury awarded priority BlueMotion technology (available for the Polo, Golf and Passat), the two other finalists (Honda Insight and Toyota Prius).
